Why have we chosen this particular type of drone?
We strive to personalise image acquisition and in that respect the advantages of the drone seemed clear. Yet, in this fast moving area, we had choices to make in order to fit the needs of geographical data and cartography. Flying wing drones offer a greater flight autonomy and can help cover a wider area. The other option, rotary wing drone don’t offer so much flexibility. Rotary wing drones are better suited to photographs and videos and so for reduced areas.
The skills of our company, GEOmatic Development, can be applied to a wide variety of domains. We appreciated the advantages of the rotary wing drone, but, for our clients, the fixed wing was our first choice.
